Zell Daffodil Mural

Artwork Title: Daffodil Daze
Artist: Joan Zell
Installation: March 2023
Location: Johns Creek City Hall, 11360 Lakefield Drive, Johns Creek, GA 30097

On March 25, 2023, Joan Zell’s vibrant, impressionistic painting of daffodils was unveiled at the Inaugural Daffodil Daze Festival. The painting was commissioned by Johns Creek Beautification and donated to the City of Johns Creek by the artist Joan Zell, with special thanks to Lynn and Greg Canty.

According to the artist, the painting represents the colorful and rhythmic landscape of different cultures that are present in Johns Creek. Her intention in the painting is to bring joy and positivity to those dealing with and healing from cancer.  “Daffodils4Hope” signifies the  movement in this painting as it inspires a colorful dance that celebrates the re-birth of a new season.
