Dear Volunteers and Planting Partners,
Thank you to everyone who was part of our 2024 Community Wide Dig Day! Your dedication and hard work made this event a success, uniting the community to plant hope and beauty across 23 locations. Together, we planted an incredible 62,250 daffodils, which will bloom next spring as a vibrant symbol of hope and resilience for cancer survivors.

Stay tuned for details about our next Community Wide Dig event that will take place on Oct 25 2025.
We deeply appreciate your support and will be sharing new information soon.  With gratitude, The Daffodils4Hope Team

Recruit
Your Volunteer Group
  • Don’t forget to recruit energetic volunteers for your prep day. A successful ground prep ensures an enjoyable planting day and beautiful, lasting blooms for years to come.
  • Planting Day: Plan on 1-2 adult volunteers per 100 bulbs, depending on the volunteer’s age and gardening skill.
Here are some tips to help you plan:
  1. Children of all ages love planting daffodil bulbs and can be a part of this project! Plan on having an adult help them plant about 10 bulbs each.
  2. Senior adults will also enjoy this project. Plan for them to plant about 20-25 bulbs each, depending on their energy levels.
If you need help recruiting volunteers for your location, please let us know, and we will assign additional volunteers to assist you.

For detailed guidance on preparing your site and making the most of your planting day, check out the Planting Guide here.
